Blink of an Eye

A 13-minute film of the faces and emotions of stage performers who lost their stage to COVID-19, shown on the Adelaide Convention Centre's North Terrace screen by day and projected onto its East Building at night.

Blink of an Eye is a 13-minute film of the faces and emotions of Australian stage performers who lost their stage to COVID-19. Gill made it as a COVID response with artists and professionals from the performance industry, filmed by Mike Worsman and set to the composition and performance of Julian Ferraretto.

Through October 2020 it played on the Adelaide Convention Centre's LED screen on North Terrace from 7am to 7.30pm, then was projected onto the centre's East Building from 7.30pm to 10pm each night, until 31 October.

Gill said the film "captures the emotion of those artists, entertainers and speakers who have lost their stage", and that it also offers optimism: the lasting impression she hoped to leave was that "creativity never stops".
